The Homecoming Kit

Cause “the time has come to return from the mountains, from foreign fields”

The Objective - During the horrific events of October 7th, many families in the kibbutzim of the Western Negev experienced terror and fear as their worst nightmare became a reality inside their own homes. Many houses were desecrated, and the sense of security that was meant to be an inseparable part of home vanished in an instant. Families were forced to spend long hours in safe rooms without access to food, water, electricity, or means of communication.

The Initiative - The Homecoming Kit was initiated by Ayelet Haris, Head of the Society and Community Division at the Kibbutz Movement. The kit is designed to support families as they return home, helping to restore, even in a small way, the feeling of home, belonging, and safety.
The kit contains a wide variety of items, so that everyone can find at least one thing that speaks to them.

Inside the kit, you’ll find:
- A planting trowel + seeds
- A calming herbal tea blend
- A purification set
- Cards
- A domino game

Click on the images in the gallery 👇 to learn more about each item in the kit.

The project is currently being launched as a pilot in about three kibbutzim and is expected to expand further.
